(San Francisco, CA) On behalf of the Bay Area Friends of Tibet we express
our best wishes of support to the Tibetan Youth Congress and the individuals
involved in the indefinite hunger strike in front of the United Nations in
New York City that has now continued for over one week. Their efforts deeply
inspire all of us and remind us of the urgency to resolve the Tibet
Question.

We are inspired to commit ourselves wholeheartedly to the bright morning
that Tibetans in Tibet can determine their own future in peace. The hunger
strikers' effort gives us humble resolve and strength to continue to fight
for Tibetan rights. We will do all we can to remind the American and Asian
Pacific public of their responsibility toward supporting the Tibetan people.
We will inform many people of the hunger striker's demands.

We are very concerned about the strikers' health and precious human lives.
We pray that their demands have the desired affect. We sincerely hope that
Ms. Dolma Choephel, Mr. Gyatso, and Mr. Sonam Wangdu remain strong and
healthy.

Bhod Gyal Lo!
