SF Team Tibet would like to urge everyone to join us for a silent protest on November 5th (Tuesday) from 11am-1pm outside the Intercontinental hotel in SF.
On November 5th, Intercontinental will be taking part in World Responsible Tourism week events to promote the company as a 'responsible' business. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) is a UK-based multinational luxury hotel chain that plans to open its flagship hotel in Tibet's capital Lhasa in early 2014. Shockingly, IHG is planning to call the hotel the "Lhasa Paradise."
Occupation is No Vacation! Let's send a loud and clear message to IHG that Tibetans and their supporters will not tolerate corporations profiting off of China's illegal occupation in Tibet.
