Location:

The Exploratorium Pier 15 on the Embarcadero San Francisco

Dear Enlightened Friends,

I am thrilled to announce that a sand mandala will be created at the Exploratorium every day this weekend starting Thursday July 3 and finishing Sunday July 6 by 1:30 pm. If you are in the area, please stop by and see the monks in action!

Each day, the sand mandala will become more elaborate! The mandala is being created by hand by the monks of the Gaden Shartse Dokhang Monastery who are visiting for a short while with the blessing of HH the Dalai Lama.

Please note that the monks expect to finish the mandala by Sunday around 1:30 pm so that they can prepare for the Dalai Lama's birthday. This mandala is being presented in collaboration with Sacred Stream.
